My Garden:)

This is what greeted me on my deck garden this morning:) I LOVE the colors and thats totally reflected in my living room decor and closet this season:) How BEAUTIFUL can something be???

I FINALLY got around to unpacking the five massive bins of books that were in the center of the living room for three months...I took a night off of life and finally did this:) Our homeschool library closet...I am VERY proud:)

Our Homeschool

We are an eclectic bunch, heavily inspired by The Well Trained Mind. We follow the Classical philosophy, but are very creative and varied in our learning experiences. Curriculums that we use and swear by include Spotlight on America, Singapore Math, Spelling Workout, MCP Plaid Phonics, Math-U-See, Young Scientist, and Art Packs. I also use Homeschool Tracker for all of my recording and planning needs-there is no substitute!!!
We love taking fieldtrips, and have been studying Maryland History and American History while enjoying our rich local resources. Ft McHenry, DC, Williamsburg, Jamestown, Harpers Ferry...All close by for exploration and hands on experience.
Homeschooling for us is NOT an educational choice, but a total lifestyle choice that allows our family a great ability to see outside the box. My children are smart, curious, clever, well spoken, creative and very much individuals. The world will be a better place for their presence:)
