I am a single, homeschooling mom of four, living in Maryland, pushing forward, making the best of each new day. I have been a single mom for over three years now and it's been an insane, wild, constantly interesting and challenging adventure;) Relax and enjoy my ramblings and insights into this incredibly unique life as I wander into totally unchartered waters:) Grab a life vest, the sea is NEVER calm here, but life is always a blessing;)

Our Homeschool
We are an eclectic bunch, heavily inspired by The Well Trained Mind. We follow the Classical philosophy, but are very creative and varied in our learning experiences. Curriculums that we use and swear by include Spotlight on America, Singapore Math, Spelling Workout, MCP Plaid Phonics, Math-U-See, Young Scientist, and Art Packs. I also use Homeschool Tracker for all of my recording and planning needs-there is no substitute!!!
We love taking fieldtrips, and have been studying Maryland History and American History while enjoying our rich local resources. Ft McHenry, DC, Williamsburg, Jamestown, Harpers Ferry...All close by for exploration and hands on experience.
Homeschooling for us is NOT an educational choice, but a total lifestyle choice that allows our family a great ability to see outside the box. My children are smart, curious, clever, well spoken, creative and very much individuals. The world will be a better place for their presence:)
